Ok…so this is one of those farms that is extremely hard to put into words. It is one of the rare farms where the owner has a vision and stops at nothing to realize that vision…without cutting corners. It is truly a special farm…without a doubt one of the coolest farms that we have seen.
The deer hunting has been managed for years and is just now entering its prime. There are foodplots scattered literally all over the property. The field edge is endless. And the access and trails allow you stealthy access to nearly the entire property. The owner has been incredibly selective about what deer can and can not be harvested. Simply put, the whitetail hunting is as good as you are going to find.
The waterfowl hunting is just now entering its prime as well. The property features a 96.5 acre lake which the owner keeps aerated in the winter…so the waterfowl hunting was already good. We took it to the next level and built three wetlands with a total of five cells where we can plant and flood food for the ducks. The two top land wetlands have water lines ran to them, power to the blinds, and each has a brand new Bradley Blind pit. It is an incredible setup that should produce excellent results.
The fishing is next level. The 96 acre lake has produced near state record catfish and crappie. The lake has been professionally managed for the last 5 years. They are just now starting to catch some trophy bass and bluegill as well! 96.5 acre lake…not sure I need to say much more. But the owner has spent significant resources to create a perfect habitat to ensure good fishing for years to come!
The recreational value on this place is unmatched. The lodge, huge beach, trails, boat dock, slalom course…it has everything that I could ever envision wanting. The entire property is lined with power and waterlines so the potential to use the farm as a retreat or church camp is there as well. If I had the money I would buy this farm today. Fortunately for you guys, I dont 🙂
The farm features right at 100 acres of tillable. The owner has a significant chunk of that in food plots and native prairie grasses to increase the wildlife value.
