John’s entire life has been spent on farms. His father bought his first piece of land when John was born. Several decades later, John and his father have bought and sold more than 15,000 acres. The biggest challenge was finding a good broker to work with. In 2010, John entered into a purchase agreement to buy Illinois Land Company with a grand vision – to create a full service land brokerage that provided incredible customer support while utilizing the latest advances in technology. Since then, LandCo has been the fastest growing land brokerage in Illinois.
“Land Brokerage is an industry that has been slow to adapt to modern technology and customer support. Our success has come from focusing on those things” says John.
His work and his passions are one and the same. John spends his free time in the outdoors with his wife and 2 year old son. “I enjoy it all” says John. “I know many outdoorsman who are drawn to one specific activity…whether that is trophy whitetail hunting or avid turkey hunting. That hasn’t happened to me. I love all the different things that land has to offer. I feel like a little kid as each new opportunity presents itself…from mushroom hunting to ice fishing. If I had to pick, sitting in a duck blind with a few buddies is tough to beat. My passion and love for land goes well beyond hunting and fishing. I crave the sound of rain on a morton building roof, the sight of untouched snow piling up, wood burning stoves, four wheeler rides on a muddy trail. I love it all.”

Much of his family have spent their entire career in the land brokerage industry. Chase shares the vision of a changed and improved land brokerage through the use of modern technology while providing dedicated support to his customers. Chase lives in Central Illinois and is a local member of QMDA and a partner in The Management Advantage. He is himself a landowner in Mercer County, Illinois. He is passionate about the respect and responsibility that comes along with land ownership.
